The second article, Home resale market gains in Nov., from the Arizona Republic SW Valley, reports on the resale market in the West Valley communities. It reports that so far in 2006 Valleywide, 62,415 sales have occurred through November, down from the 104,360 for the same period in 2005. Glendale's sales decreased from 580 to 350 sales from November 2005 to November 2006, while the median price dipped slightly from $247,250 to $247,000. Peoria dropped from 315 to 225 sales, and its median price slid from $280,000 to $270,000. Surprise decreased from 350 to 200 sales, with the median price dropping from $263,590 to $246,000. Avondale slid from 190 to 115 sales, with the median price falling from $265,000 to $245,000. El Mirage saw sales fall from 105 to 70, with the median price dropping from $225,000 to $200,000. Goodyear decreased from 100 to 80 sales, with the median price falling from $286,500 to $252,000.
